4th of July

The late summer blogging continues as we move on to the 4th of July. For Independence Day we did our traditional boating with some Aberdeen family friends and then had the Kim Wahlen Fireworks show, complete with sparklers.

Also, on July 2nd Chan turned the big 30! There have never been 4 luckier girls!

Girls Camp

So right after the Wahlen Reunion, I headed off to Girls Camp and had a great time with the Young Women in our Ward. We won the award for the best skit and cheers and Chan told some scary stories. I really love our ward, and had a great time!

Kelsey's Wedding / Wahlen Family Reunion

At the end of June, my cousin Kelsey got married in the Rexburg Temple to Bronson Funk. Kelsey is the sweetest human being alive and it was great to be at her wedding. In conjunction with Kelsey's wedding, we got to have an awesome Wahlen Reunion. We have a close extended family and it was so great to see my cousins and their families. Here's Halle and my cousin Katie's little girl Taylor.

The Typical Ute

We were in Utah recently and happened upon a vehicle with a U sticker, it's pretty representative of the entire Ute Nation......ha ha

Congratulations Garrett

At the beginning of June, my little brother Garrett graduation from Aberdeen High School. We love Garrett so much and are very proud of all he has accomplished. Garrett is going to BYU Idaho in the Fall and then on a mission. We love you Garrett!

Memorial Day

This summer has been so crazy so I am about to do a marathon of Posts and try to get caught up starting clear back with Memorial Day weekend....On the Saturday of the weekend Chandler's Goodwin family got together, some came clear from Arizona and it was great to see them. We went to visit Grandpa Goodwin's grave.

The Goodwin kids, Craig, Lynette (Chan's mom), Lane (in back), Grandma Goodwin, and Gary.

The grave needed a little bit of repair so the boys fixed it, Goodwin style..
Quincy and Macki had a great time, Macki couldn't get enough of the licorice!

Monday we headed to Aberdeen to visit Grandma Wahlen's grave with the Wahlens. My cousin Wade is so good with babies, Quincy loves him. McKin loves to take pictures of Nana! We sure love her!

Summer Tennis

So I refuse to list for anyone all the activities that McKinley is involved in this summer for 2 reasons. First, because my inability to say no to anything is slightly embarassing and second, I have kids to raise and simply do not have time for a mental institution as applicable as it may be. I will say that just one of those activities is summer tennis, and she loves it. Her little friend Saddie and her got matching purple tennis rackets (thanks Mist!) and even made up a cheer to go with them where they each raise their rackets and say "Goooooo McKinley, Goooooo Saddie"Here's hoping we make it through the summer alive!
