One of the inevitables of childhood...

So two nights ago I thought McKinley was in her room picking out books for bedtime, when Chandler walks out and says "I just caught your daughter cutting her hair." So I went in to assess the damage, there were beautiful blond curly locks all over the floor. Her hair was in a side ponytail and she had went to town on it. Later that night and the next morning the discoveries continued as I found a nice chunk right up front that is now about 1 inch long. She still has some long hair, but is now in varied lengths in big chunks all over. Good thing Aunt Jill is coming up this weekend to fix it and thank heavens I can still fit most of it in a ponytail.

Oh, I love her beautiful curls. I think she might have spent a little too much time with Ellie, though, she has a problem with cutting chunks right up front, too.

OH NO! Something that I am sure you will laugh about later in life. That is too bad, but it sure seems to happen often with kids. They are so mishevious! Hope she gets a cute haircut! :) You will have to post some pictures when you get a second.

Yes, we have been in contact with Sarah Tanner. She lives in Fairbanks though and we're in Anchorage. I think they may be coming down in October--so hopefully we see them while we're here. :)

I didn't even notice yesterday. You will have to post some pictures. Saddie did that once...why?

I remember doing that when I was a child. What a great story for when she gets older even though it is painful now!

Scissors and kids... Why is it every littlr girl wants to be a hair stylist? I hope it's not too bad- I really want to see some pictures!

oh man, I hope the damage isn't too bad. she had such precious curls. At least she didn't go for the eye lashes or eye brows, then Aunt Jill couldn't really work her magic as well. I guess I do the same thing nowadays, but I have clippers, and I like to think that I do a good job... hahah.

All little girls do it :) And with her sassy personality it was only a matter of time... She is such a gorgeous little girl that no one will even notice.

Wasn't even bad, such an easy fix and we still left her beautiful long curls....or maybe I'm just a miracle worker! (kidding) I think you got lucky her hair was in a side ponytail or it may have been alot worse!

Oh I am TERRIFIED for that to happen one day to Jovie! My neice had her hair cut by my cousins daughter when she was 3 and is STILL traumatized by it. I guess the good thing is that McKinley did it all on her own! Good luck with the quick fix!
