Happy Birthday Booga!

Today is my little sister Hailey's 23rd Birthday! Happy birthday boog, you're the best! This is a picture McKin drew for you for your birthday of you and her, you are on the left and she is on the right. She's told me 5 times that she is "so excited to go to your birthday party." You are one of my best friends and a great example to everyone around you, especially to me and my girls. We can't wait to see you tonight and party hard, hope your kids are good to you at school today! LOVE YA!
PS. Hope you live to be 100...200 if you can make it....

Don't ever give that girl a knife.

So McKin just told me that she wanted to see the baby in tummy, so I make an exaggeration of sticking out my steadily groing tummy (this was definitely not hard) and she said "No, we have to have it open." A little scary, I must say.

But to show just how cute she is, today in Primary when they asked why we should pray daily McKinley raised her hand and said "read the scriptures." Not exactly what they were looking for, but always a good answer to any question really. This was an improvement to raising her hand vigorously for every single question (I mean EVERY ONE) and then going "Uhhhhhh" when they call on her.

I've been tagged

I've been tagged by Kamber so here it goes....

10 YEARS AGO.....Hmm 1998, Junior at AHS, cheerleading, student gov, friends, boys, singing, playing Kim McAfee in "Bye Bye Birdie," Jr. Miss, going to church, being with family, pretty much being a crazy teenager.

5 PLACES LIVED.....Aberdeen, Rexburg, Pocatello, & Blackfoot. I only have 4......within 90 miles of each other.........what an exotic life I've lived. I guess I could also count Chubbuck if you want to get technical.

5 THINGS ON MY LIST TO DO TODAY....Well today is over, but tomorrow McKinley has dance class, I need to call a bunch of people about a Scout training, go to Book Club, find books to present at book club, and return property owner's e-mails. Oh, and the mounting pile of laundry probably needs some attention.

5 JOBS I HAVE HAD.....Many various farm duties (rock picker, clod picker, piler operator, truck driver, general gopher or slave etc.), public relations assistant at Ricks, media buyer for an ad agency, property manager, and mom!

10 YEARS FROM NOW....I better be done having kids, I will probably be running kids all over the place to all sorts of activities. Hopefully all our kids will be in school and I will be able to devote a little more time to the business and to other hobbies and to more properties of our own. We will be building our dream home and still running good old Rooftop. But really, who knows?

I now tag Amber, Hailey, Jill, Celeste, and Jaime.

WANTED...New Digital Camera

For those of you who haven't noticed my blog has been recently void of photos. This is because my husband has stolen the family camera and taken it to Idaho Falls to take business related photos of our new properties. By the way, I also have some important Primary photos on said camera and the poor CTR 5 class has had to attend church without their pictures on the board for the last 2 weeks. Don't we have a seperate camera for business purposes you may ask? the answer is yes but Chandler lost it (he has an entirely different story for why that camera is missing but he's wrong). So all I ask from my wonderful, amazing, husband on this Valentine's day is a new digital camera to capture the "kodak" moments in our daughter's lives. Chandler has shown some resistance to this idea, so if you know him any pressure you can apply would be much appreciated.

PS - He proposes a "joint custody" arrangement where the camera would travel back and forth between home and the office, but this just will not work. The camera would get confused, where would the camera keep it's stuff, it just needs a place to call home. If he brings up this possibility just ask him how much the new razor was that he just bought. Thank you! Love you Chan!

Reality Check

This morning a commercial came on for Jitterbug. For those of you who don't know it's a cell phone for the elderly in which you can be SEVERELY technologically talented and still use due to live operators that help you out. So McKinley asked if I was going to get that phone. I said "No honey, that's just for older people who need help to use their phone." She said "Well mom, you ARE old and dad's old too." Put in my place by a 3 year old, once again.
